The Autumn Festivities Begin!

There is so much fun kid stuff to do in the fall in Utah. Last year I remember how much fun we had going to do all of it, with Ady and Max, who was just a little baby at the time. So, this year will be even better since they can both play.
Today was opening day at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. So we went with Camille and her kids.

This year they have added a Princess area with a jump house and dress ups. Of course Ady was in heaven.

This started to make me excited for fall, I am sad about the summer weather going away so quickly but we have a lot of Fall stuff on our list to do.
Boo at the ZOO
Hee Haw's
Pumpkinland
Thanksgiving Point farmers Market
Halloween at Gardner Village

and I am sure this will not be our only trip to Cornbelly's.

Barnum and Bailey

The circus is in town again. We have made it a little tradition to take our kids every year.
In fact as soon as the tickets go on sale, like in July I buy them. This year we got a few extra so we invited Aaron and Ashley Waller with their 2 girls and Nate and Erin Wathen and their little boy Beckham. So we get there last night and we are going in and OOPS, wrong night. We had tickets for the following nights show. We were a day early. LUCKILY they traded in our tickets for ones to the show that night that were almost as good, so we wouldn't have to come back again. I felt so bad. I wrote in the date in my calendar back in July and went off of that. I mean you think after I got the tickets in the mail, I would have actually looked that them. But, I didnt.

{Max was being so funny and loved wearing this hat}

{Max and Ady were so cotton candy sticky, it was nasty.}

For me, the show this year seemed a little LONGER than the ones of the past, they have some really cool acts, but there are a bunch a clown scenes with this random clown making jokes and tripping all over the place that I think they could have done without.
But my kids were in absolute heaven so we cant really complain. After all the KIDS are the reason we go...right?!?

Kangaroo Zoo with the kiddos

So last night my mom was in town up visiting from St George and she had my two nephews Easton and Zach and I had my two kids and we all met up for a greasy dinner at AW then headed over to Kangaroo Zoo. We had a blast over there and so did the kids! Hailey was away for the night at a ward function so I was solo with the kids, well not solo since Grandma Sue was there to help out.

It is so much fun to see how these little kids grow up and learn and become more and more coordinated. Ady and Easton were climbing NO PROBLEM up the huge bouncy slide and even Max and Zach (more Max this time, sorry Lovells) had a blast jumping on everything they could.

Well I know it has been a little while since I posted anything so I just wanted the cyber world to know that I am involved in parenting and love it just as much as Hailey!

Martha ...OBSESSED

I have been obsessing over my Martha Stewart Living catalog since it arrived last week.
I even was thumbing through it out in the hall during Sunday School today while Max was preventing me from being INSIDE Sunday School (only one more week til he's in nursery....hooray!!)
Anyway, this magazine has so many cool decorating and entertaining ideas for Halloween.
And as some of you may know I love to plan parties, trips or any kind of event where I can have themes and invites and decor...
Actually to say I enjoy it would even be a bit of an understatement.
here is the truth...

Hi, I am Hailey, and I am a event-planning-a holic.

Martha is my domestic idol and I cannot wait to put some of her ideas this month to the test. So, if you get an invite from me to a Halloween Dinner Party, or an adult costume party or a Monster Ball for the kids, you will know that there were too many ideas for just one event... and I was too excited not to use them all.

Visit to St. George

This evening the kids and I drove home from St. George where we have been since Friday. Eric came down for the weekend to see his parents. He and Jim both left on Sunday, but I stayed down with Sue and the kids to enjoy some more summer weather.

Here are some highlights....
The St. George Farmers market. If you will be in St. George anytime before the first of November, this is a must-see. It is in that Ancestors Square where the painted Pony, Pasta Factory Benji Thai are. Its was so cute and had so many cool booths, Our favorites include a farm fresh cheese booth, we got fresh made feta, and an herb cheddar. So great, and we have been to Greece so we are picky about our feta cheese. Also we got some peaches that were wonderful, fresh baked pita bread, and a red pepper hummas, and the BEST thing we got was  hot pepper jelly. Oh my gosh, it sounds weird but we (mostly I) ate the whole jar in 2 days. I am having Sue pick me up more this weekend. Its a cool little atmosphere with a little Bluegrass band playing and plus you are supporting the local farmers and crafts-people.

The water Park off of Main.
My kids Love going to this place, and running through the streams and fountains.

**Our St. George Tradition**
The Sand Hollow Aquatic Center.
Nothing wears out my kids like a trip here. Plus it is a block from our house.

The local parks

Breakfast at the Bear Paw... yummy.

Painting rocks with Grandma Sue

Every time we have gone to St. George this year we have said how much we wish we spent more time down there. The kids love it and our house is really in a great location with such great views. I think we will be spending a lot more time there this winter. I may even spend one of early months next year down there with the kids and just have Eric come down on the weekends. The weather down there is just too good not to. Anyone want to come and visit us??

Oh and of course one of the best parts was being with the Kandell grandparents and going to the sand dunes, that I already posted on below.
