Check Ady out, chillin in the burning hot Arizona sun on our annual girls trip with my mom and sisters. Was Arizona in August the best choice? Um... no. It was too hot to even think while we were there. I couldn't hack it. We usually go down there because my Aunt Carol and Cousin Meg live down there. But we decided next year we will all just fly and meet somewhere that isn't as hot as a preheated oven. Maybe LA or San Diego. But we did have fun spending time with my family. We did plenty of shopping (had to go where the AC was) and girls talk and such. Also my cousin Meagan just had her first child, and we love little baby Ella. She was so sweet and we were glad to have her along on our girl stuff.

I also apologize to my family for the lack of pics I took, like I said "too hot to think", so I didnt even think of taking pics. Oh well. Next year.

We cannot wait!

By the way, when Ady and I were checking out bags in at the airport to leave for Arizona the skycap asked her "And where are you going this week" and Ady said "to the girls trip". She was so excited.

Our weekend in L.A.

This past weekend, we went with some long time friends to L.A. for the weekend to celebrate Matt's birthday with him and his wife Edy. We left after Eric got home from work Friday so we ate a super late but simply fantastic sushi dinner at Katsu-ya in Hollywood. (no, we didnt see anyone famous, I was diappointed) but the food was so great. The Atkinsons have just as big of a sushi love as we do. So, it was great to go with them.

On Saturday morning, we got up and ate breakfast at our hotel. Then went out to the pool to get a cabana reserved for the day. The hotel we stayed at, The SLS Beverly Hills has an amazing rooftop pool, that we spent most of the day at.

{P.S. the guys at the far end of the pool were the Barcelona Soccer team in town to play LA Galaxy, they are the only famous people we saw while in town}

Some tother highlights of the trip that I did not photograph were

-Dinner at Mastero's in BH

-The Comedy Store - hilarious

-a couples massage with Eric at Ciel Spa

-trying to get a hot dog at Pink's but giving up on the super long line

-shopping for ERIC (I love when he gets new clothes)

and just hanging out with Eric. I get such bad anxiety when we leave our kids for the weekend but I love the time we get together when we go away. He is the best.

Also, we absolutely loved out hotel and the BAZAAR lounge and restaurant in out hotel. It was so beautiful. If you are in the area, seriously check it out. So unique.

Some interior photos I found of the SLS Beverly Hills, since we were so busy I didnt get to take many pics of this lovely hotel. I think the style is amazing.

Wyoming for the 24th

We spent another weekend in Wyoming up at my parents cabin for the 24th. We rode 4 wheelers, and fished, and cooked, and bonefired, and watched movies and relaxed in nature all weekend long. It was, as always great family time.

My kids loved every moment of being doted on by my siblings and parents and running around getting filthy as much as they could.

These last 2 weeks have been insanely busy, the week I had my sister in laws shower {previous post} I also hosted an activity days recognition night Ice Cream social for 60 in our backyard. Then I had the shower, then the next day a huge get together and swim party with Erics family here all day. Then the following week we had...

A Neighborhood BBQ/Pool Party at our house

The the following day Maxwell had surgery, getting his lymph nodes drained and tubes in his ears

A boating excursion up to Deer Creek with some dear friends who are moving

The the next night a birthday party for Eric's mom who was in town at our house

A farewell girls dessert night the next evening for Linda. :(

Then a day later we left for the cabin trip. I want to try and post about all those fun things but things keep getting more busy as we try to fit so much into one little summer, so who knows.

Anyway we hope you are all enjoying your summer as much as we are.

Sheesh, I am exhausted though.
