How behind am I that I am not just covering our Turkey day festivities?
It was a great one this year, we spent it with my side of the family at our home in St George. Hoping to get warmer weather we headed south. But, we were not in luck, a cold front spread across Utah for the week making it the coldest St George weather I have ever experienced. Oh well, good thing we had good company.
Thanksgiving itself was wonderful, great food prepared my Mom, Eric, Me and Natalie.
See how pleased my crazy kids were? Not sure what those faces are about.
Over the past few years it has been come a Kandell (as in me and Eric's family) tradition to do a deep fried turkey, cooks in 1 hour or less and is so fabulous. This year was no exception.
Here is the process....
put in the turkey fryer
45 mins of frying and 20 mins to sit out (yes i know it looks charred)
But this is what it looks like inside, Perfect.
And totally fat free... well, no thats a lie.
Lucy got loads of attention being the only baby. And loved every minute of it.
We did our Smoot family tradition of hitting a movie that night. I joined the kids at Tangled. It was darling.
The rest of the weekend was great too, undocumented with photos but wonderful nonetheless.
Game nights, movies, Office episodes, BYU vs UTAH game (boo) and even a temple session while my sisters babysat all 3 kids.
Great family weekend.
We have to much to be thankful for.
And I wont even mention that we got stuck in a blizzard on the way home Sunday and our normally 3.5 hour drive took 8 hours. 8 hours with 3 kids going stir crazy.
Well, i guess I will mention it.

What a great Thanksgiving, looks like you had so much fun! That sucks about the drive home though, that's a long drive for kids but I'm sure yours were great! Your kids are adorable and that lil' Lucy is a doll, I can't believe how big our babies our getting! Your family pictures are awesome! Your kids should be models for JCrew.
Love your family and we seriously need to come down there with you next time and I will bring the warm weather. Um when are we going to get together?!?
