Ohio.
If you have read our family blog for awhile you are aware of our love for visiting Eric's parents home in Ohio where daddy grew up. You are also most likely aware of how insanely green and beautiful it is.
But in case you are not... Ohio is kid paradise, even more than Disneyland, and in this family that is really saying a lot.
Acres and acres of green grass to run and play, the pool, a barn with donkeys that need fed, grandmas darling cottage playhouse, the golf carts to get around the Kandell yard, fishin in grandmas pond, woods and so so so much more.
It's really heaven and we love our tradition of being there every 4th of July with all the cousins.
Here are some of the many many Ohio 2011 highlights
New this year:
Floating, kayaking and canoe trip down the Cuyahoga.
Our annual visit to the Kent Freedom Festival to celebrate Independence Day in quaint Downtown Kent.
New to the Kent Fest tradition this year was the train ride.
Swimming, Swimming and more Swimming
Watching the Kent Fest fireworks from Grandma's front yard then doing some fireworks of our own that grandpa bought. Fun times!
Fishing
Picking berries to make pie
Golf Cart Rides
Family 4th of July picnic and firework show
Grandma Sue crafts
The annual massively long slip n slide
And no Kandell trip would be complete without the Kandell cooking and lots of eating.
And last but for sure not least, the most important highlight of every Ohio trip is all that quality family fun and together time.
So happy to spend time with all those people that we sure love.
Til next year! We will miss you Sunnybrook Road.
